Coaching

As your executive coach, I am your trusted partner and your mirror. Together, we establish a safe, confidential setting for reflection and work together to find purpose, identify direction, motivate others, and develop practical skills and strategies for growth. I will both challenge you and support you.

Synergy within your leadership team is an organization’s greatest asset for growth. As your team coach and facilitator of learning, I create a collaborative and creative space to identify challenges, clarify goals, and build skills for the future. Your team and I work together to develop the trust, accountability, and clarity of vision necessary to lead your organization towards a shared vision of success—as defined by you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching for Individuals

“Humans are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole.” This humanistic belief, borrowed from positive psychology, guides my work.

Together, we establish a confidential, open partnership where you feel comfortable being honest and confronting challenges. We identify your strengths, leadership style, and leadership goals. Sessions are both goal-oriented and developmental; we address immediate challenges while working towards long-term professional and personal growth. I guide our sessions to stay focused and purposeful, and encourage you to reflect on what you’ve learned and identify specific actions to implement before the next meeting.

Expect to be listened to, supported, and challenged, but never judged. My coaching is personalized and holistic: as your coach, I understand that your cultural background, unique identities, and life outside of work affect your professional leadership. I use socratic questioning—specific, open-ended questions—to enhance your self-awareness, test your assumptions, and expand your thinking. Together, we come up with solutions and build long-term leadership and management skills for your unique professional context.

All leaders can benefit from an executive coach. Some leaders enter coaching with specific issues or goals, while others have a broad desire to grow. To gain the most value from an executive coach, leaders should be willing to put their trust into the coaching partnership, even when it feels vulnerable. This can involve leaving your comfort zone, hearing hard truths, and confronting your assumptions. As your coach, your honesty and vulnerability helps me understand and validate your experiences, highlight your bravery, and guide you towards growth.

Coaching for Businesses and Organizations

My programs are tailored to each leadership team’s needs, but follow a common approach. I use diagnostic assessments and interviews to get a sense for team dynamics, develop a team profile, and identify strengths and areas for development. My role as a coach is to then facilitate a safe and confidential space for the team to address challenges, promote trust, and clarify goals to establish long-term synergy and lead the organization in alignment.

When your leadership team is facing any of the following issues, coaching can help you resolve them:

  • Team members are working in isolation rather than collaboratively.
  • Meetings are mostly transactional, lacking strategic focus or deeper discussion.
  • There is a lack of clarity around roles, responsibilities, or decision-making.
  • There is a sense of confusion or uncertainty about direction, priorities, or vision.
  • There is insufficient trust or accountability within the team.
  • There are practical issues such as burnout, work-life integration, or managing difficult interpersonal relationships.
  • You are seeking to improve overall team alignment, trust, and performance, to pull together as a cohesive unit to lead the organization.

To meaningfully benefit from leadership team coaching, it is most important that the team comes in with an open mind and a willingness to engage with the process. This can feel vulnerable—as your coach, I work with each person to move past uncertainty and towards growth.

Leadership teams will have developed enhanced synergy, more effective workflows, and improved team dynamics. Furthermore, each team member will leave with enduring practical skills and strategies for resolving future workplace challenges, fostering long-term personal and organizational well-being, and maintaining a culture of trust, mutual support, and continuous growth in the workplace.

I always integrate the role of culture into my coaching. I believe that understanding the culture where we spent our formative years holds the key to understanding ourselves. Similarly, understanding the cultural context of the organization and country where we work and live opens up the door to improved leadership performance and career satisfaction.
